- Rooney Mara will reportedly follow-up her lead role in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo with Emanuel and the Truth about Fishes, playing a disturbed woman obsessed with her new, looks-just-like-her-dead-mom neighbor. So I guess it isn't the next chapter of the Emmanuelle series?

- Daryl Hannah, Tom Sizemore, and Thora Birch are the first three to join the cast of an adaptation of Chuck Palahniuk's Snuff. Ask your friend who's always going on about Chuck Palahniuk to tell you more.

- Liam Cunningham, Brendon Gleeson, Sam Shepard, and Robert Patrick will be supporting stars Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds in Daniel Espinosa's action-thriller Safe House. By Daniel Espinosa, they must mean Tony Scott.

- We're having Michael Caine doing an American accent again, this time in Sandra Nettelbeck's Mr. Morgan's Last Love, playing "a retired and widowed American philosophy professor in Paris whose life is changed when he meets a much younger woman, and a special relationship develops between the two." By Sandra Nettelbeck, they must mean Sofia Coppola.

- Sony Pictures and Samuel Goldwyn have picked up distribution for A Good Old Fashioned Orgy, a comedy starring Jason Sudeikis, Tyler Labine, Leslie Bibb, Will Forte, Lucy Punch, Lake Bell, Michelle Borth, Martin Starr, Nick Kroll, Lindsay Sloane, and David Koechner as a group of friends planning an orgy as a farewell party to a Sudeikis's Hamptons vacation home. With a cast and premise like that, this sounds like it could be pretty great. Or astoundingly bad. I can't see there being a middle ground with this.
