Another crucial cast member has been added to Zack Snyder's Superman reboot, with three-time Academy Award-nominated actress Amy Adams taking the role of reporter Lois Lane, a strong female character Snyder will surely present with the same depth and dignity with which he handled all the really awesome babes in Sucker Punch.
In the official statement, the director commented:
"Second only to Superman himself, the question of who will play Lois Lane is arguably what fans have been most curious about. So we are excited to announce the casting of Amy Adams, one of the most versatile and respected actresses in films today. Amy has the talent to capture all of the qualities we love about Lois: smart, tough, funny, warm, ambitious and, of course, beautiful."
There aren't many modern actresses that I can imagine evoking the necessary sense of composed brassiness, but Amy Adams is one of the few who can probably do it. Still, would have loved to see once-rumored Kristen Stewart would have done with the part. Pout, probably?
