'King's Speech' Accessible to Those Who Can't Yet Drive, Starting April 1

March 24, 2011

Historical drama-loving teenagers will at last get their chance to see The King's Speech within the guidelines of their local cineplex. The Weinsteins apparently worked it out with director Tom Hooper, and a PG-13 edited cut of the Oscar-winning Best Picture will be hitting theaters April 1, with all the "fucks" and "shits" muted out or dubbed over for the sensitive ears of young adults. I felt the film could have used a few more abrupt silences and instances of "caca" anyway.
