Bridesmaids still has a week-and-a-half before arriving in theaters, but already it's been decided that we need another update about how funny wedding women are. To that end, Kirsten Dunst, Lizzy Caplan, Adam Scott, and Casey Wilson have joined Bachelorettes, an indie comedy written by Leslye Headland and being produced by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay.
Continuing the quest of making a female Hangover in the most straightforward way anyone can think of without putting Zach Galifianakis in drag, the low-budgeted film focuses on Dunst, Caplan, and a still-uncast third member of a bridal party gathered for the wedding of a girl they dubbed "Pigface" in high school (Wilson), setting up so many catty moments right out of the gate. Caplan's character is described as "having a Playboy Bunny body with a Larry David brain," which basically sounds like standard Caplan if you're loose with your definition of "Playboy Bunny body" and "Larry David brain"; Dunst's character is "crisp and severe ... your best friend and your worst enemy," so she's the bitch one. Adam Scott will also eventually show up, playing Caplan's high school crush who arrives to the wedding with a hot young date, thus ruining the rest of the movie as thoughts inevitably wander to how good a Party Down movie would be. So good.
