'Spy Kids 4: All the Time in the World' Trailer: The New Crop of Spy Kids Came In

May 31, 2011

Just like with the Bond franchise, the Spy Kids series' eponymous heroes are not so much specific actors as general spy concepts, utterly replaceable from film to film. Thus, for Robert Rodriguez's degrading child agent franchise's latest chapter, Spy Kids 4: All the Time in the World, we've got an all new set of Spy Kids. But do not shed a tear for our lost Spy Children of yore: they too, show up--as does, Jessica Alba, Joel McHale (not even playing a jerk, somehow), and Ricky Gervais, who's the voice of a robot dog. And the film's above villain, who you'd assume to be Billy Connolly playing Rudy Coby, The Coolest Magician on Earth? THAT'S Jeremy Piven.

Anyway, here's the trailer, which promises an experience "in 4-D." Don't hold them to that.

I don't know. Jessica Alba: Sexy Spy is pretty good, but I think I'll stick with Jessica Alba: Sexy Math Savant.
