'Human Centipede' Director Accuses BBFC of Not Providing Adequate Spoiler Alert

June 8, 2011

Like a human gastrointestinal tract extended along three to twelve people, the drama surrounding Tom Six's sequel to The Human Centipede continues on without regard to the surrounding public nausea. With the British Board of Film Classification on Monday rejecting The Human Centipede II, effectively banning it from being shown or sold within the UK, Six has now responded with an email to Empire in which he calls out the board's censorship--and also chides them for spoiling the part where the protagonist entwines his penis in barbed wire and rapes the human centipede's unfortunate caboose. Save something for the criminally insane people to who the import the US Blu-ray, guys!

Here's Six's bizarrely self-censored statement:

Thank you BBFC for putting spoilers of my movie on your website and thank you for banning my film in this exceptional way. Apparently I made an horrific horror-film, but shouldn't a good horror film be horrific? My dear people it is a f****cking MOVIE. It is all fictional. Not real. It is all make-belief. It is art. Give people their own choice to watch it or not. If people can't handle or like my movies they just don't watch them. If people like my movies they have to be able to see it any time, anywhere also in the UK.

Not that I condone any human beings or pets watching The Human Centipede II, but he's right. Though, in the BBFC's defense, if I'd just watched a man use sandpaper to masturbate to a repulsive human chain, I'd probably need the catharsis of telling some people about it, too.
