Susan Sarandon Playing Mother to Andy Samberg, Lover to Adam Sandler

June 2, 2011

Reprising a part made popular in the SNL Digital Short Motherlover, Susan Sarandon will play mother to Andy Samberg in the Columbia comedy I Hate You, Dad. Sarandon's part is Mary McGarricle, a "sexy teacher" who seduces Samberg's in-film father, Adam Sandler, at a young age, thus justifying the slim age difference between father and son. Anything to get Sandler and Samberg to share the screen!

Also making appearances in the film: Vanilla Ice and Ian Ziering, while it's rumored that James Caan, Will Forte, Milo Ventimiglia, Blake Clark, Meagan Fay, Tony Orlando, Dan Patrick, and Sarandon's daughter Eva Amurri are also in talks to show up. So, just as Sandler is seemingly passing on the broad comedy torch to his younger counterpart, the supporting cast's celebrity reality show candidates of today will symbolically act alongside the potential celebrity reality show candidates of the future. We'll see you on VH1 after a drug addiction and rehabilitation, Eva.
