The Juno team of writer Diablo Cody and director Jason Reitman are together again, but this time all that baby-makin' is going on post-high school. In Young Adult, Charlize Theron plays the popular high school girl everyone hated, now a successful young adult author, returned to her hometown to reclaim high school flame Patrick Wilson. Unfortunately, Patrick Wilson is married and has a kid who may or may not be haunted, yet that does not deter Theron, who continually tries to impress by getting sexied up--only to, by morning, awaken in drunken disrepair, resulting in a juxtaposition of hot and depressing Theron shots hitherto unseen outside of Google Image Search's "charlize theron monster" results. Overall, the trailer evokes just the right mixture of comedy, misanthropy, and delusion you'd want from the premise, but still, throwing on "Queen Bitch" within the first 30 seconds? Don't pull the ripcord inside the airplane, guys.
