Well, apparently this could have been Spider-Man's Green Goblin. Before director Sam Raimi and the studio settled on the metallic Power Rangers look of Goblin for their 2002 film, it seems they dabbled in using animatronics to make the villain look a lot more like the wide-eyed, sleeping cap-wearing, actually goblin-like character seen in comic books, and now, a decade later (Happy New Year, guys), footage from a shooting test has finally turned up to show us just how gobliny it could have been. SO GOBLINY.
More comic book accurate? Sure. But there's still something really disconcerting about making someone's eyes look like spheres of orange juice.
