'Bill & Ted 3' Script Done, Reportedly Not Bogus

March 6, 2012

Last April, Keanu Reeves briefly exiting the meme of sullen eating to claim a script for a third Bill & Ted film was only a month-and-a-half away from completion. Nearly a year later, it was starting to seem like maybe Reeves only said that to get co-star Alex Winter to stop calling him with potential plot ideas/guitar riffs, but speaking to The Independent, he's now revealed the script is done. And it is EXCELLENT. Not really. He didn't say that. It would have been very appropriate if he said that, but no. He just said it's "good":

"Yeah, we have a script. We're trying to put it together. It's a good script too."

Bill's Twitter has since confirmed the story, adding that production still isn't quite assured:

-Script done? Check. -We love it? Check. -Green light? Working on it!

Does it have a title, though? And does that title involve painfully outdated slang that shouldn't make any sense to use now except that we've already got time travel involved, so why not? Bill, Ted, these are questions we need answered.

Also, I hope it doesn't turn out that Woody Allen already stole their script for Midnight in Paris. It wouldn't entirely surprise me.
