'Hunger Games' Wins Box Office Again, U.S. Fatigued with Pie Sex?

April 9, 2012

Your weekend box office:

1. The Hunger Games - $33.5 million, topping the box office for the third straight weekend. This is the Donald Sutherland movie the world has been waiting for.

2. American Reunion - $21.5 million, opening lower than both American Pie 2 and American Wedding. Hmm, is it possible that doing four consecutive straight-to-video spin-off may, in fact, damage a reputation? Eugene Levy sure hopes not.

3. Titanic (3D) - $17.4 million. Ha, third place, Cameron! I bet that would hurt if the news could reach you through your submersible made of money.

4. Wrath of the Titans - $15 million. If Liam Neeson can't even be bothered to release another kraken, who can be bothered to see this?

5. Mirror Mirror - $11 million. This was not the Mystic Pizza sequel the world wanted.
