Roman Polanski To Adapt Another Play Instead of Going to Prison

September 20, 2012

Esteemed filmmaker and fugitive sodomite Roman Polanski has decided on his follow-up to Carnage, and it's a project that will once again see him adapting a Broadway play from far away from the harsh, exposing lights of Broadway.

THR reports Polanski will next tackle the Tony-nominated two-person production Venus in Fur, and is planning to first make it French, then fill its parts with Louis Garrel and wife Emmanuelle Seigner. David Ives wrote the play and is working with Polanski to adapt his story of a power shift between a director and an auditioning actress. Shooting is expected to take place before Polanski begins work on his D.
