How do you turn a car racing game into a feature film script? MURDER.
At least that's how DreamWorks is going at it. Some details about the studio's Need for Speed adaptation have come out, and while there still seems to be some racing involved, there's also a revenge plot, framing, and murder in there to fill the lulls between the tire screeches. Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul, who joined the film last month, will reportedly play an underground racing driver who owns a garage that soups up expensive cars. More interestingly, he will also be a convict, framed for the murder of his best friend, already released from prison somehow, and out for vengeance against whatever man or car was truly responsible. According to Variety, he'll be joined by Captain America's Dominic Cooper, who will play an ex-NASCAR driver who uses his connections to sell Paul's supercars, and Fright Night's Imogen Poots, who will play an exotic cars dealer. So if vengeance and MURDER aren't your thing, don't worry: there will also be TRANSACTIONS.
