The Avengers team may at last be getting a black friend they don't have to admit is actually their boss, or sort of more a friend of a friend.
Or so it seems from the tweets of Morris Chestnut, the American Horror Story and Identity Thief co-star who today made a couple possibly-revealing tweets before tellingly deleting them. "It's time to get familiar with the Black Panther character!", Chestnut reportedly said, hinting that he's up for the role before realizing, shit, now he's not going to get it and Marvel will sue him. Hoping to avoid that fate, the actor then deleted that tweet yet immediately added another on the subject, clarifying, "Not final," before for some reason revealing, "#BlackPanther may be in #avengers2 first." That, too, has since been deleted. Marvel has not yet responded on whether Morris Chestnut is correct or merely, as his name suggests, the fanciful animal protagonist of a children's book.
