Christopher Walken Joins Clint Eastwood's 'Jersey Boys' Musical

July 24, 2013

Christopher Walken is attached to provide a second largely-frightening old guy presence on the set of Clint Eastwood's Jersey Boys adaptation. Deadline reports he's joined the film as Angelo "Gyp" DeCarlo, a Jersey mobster who helps out the Four Seasons and, if Eastwood knows what he's doing, will get an elaborate solo dance scene any time there's a musical number. Walken is the first big actor known to be in the film; Eastwood has decided to cull his four leads from the musical's various performers, and he can't exactly cast current Joe Pesci as the '60s Joe Pesci seen in the show. That would just be giving in to Obama.
