For being completely unrelated films with entirely different settings and casts, Keanu Reeves' 47 Ronin and the recently-revealed Jeff Bridges fantasy Seventh Son seem to have done an awfully good job finding the exact same spot on the mediocrity spectrum. As revealed in this trailer for 47 Ronin, it too concerns a lone, sword-wielding, hirsute Dude fulfilling some kind of destiny--which hazily involves numbers, a lady turning into a dragon, and a wealth of blurry CGI beasts that somehow look both pricey and pretty cheap. Also in common: like Seventh Son, this film too was inauspiciously delayed multiple times before finally finding a release this winter.
All that said, in this, a bunch of guys (47?) on horseback fight a giant rat monster, so, advantage Keanu?
