Clint Eastwood Takes Over Bradley Cooper's Sniper Program

August 21, 2013

Steven Spielberg's recent departure from the director's chair of American Sniper brought the film's development to a quick halt, but Clint Eastwood isn't about to let some liberal take a gun out of Bradley Cooper's hands. That's Bradley Cooper's God-given right! So, Eastwood has reportedly started talks to get the project going again, directing Cooper in the story of real-life Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle. Should negotiations work out, it will be a tight squeeze for both actor and director: Cooper's busy schedule only has an opening at the beginning of next year, while Eastwood still has to shoot his Four Seasons jukebox musical adaptation, and you can't get into the mind of a sniper before you've first determined whether or not big girls do or don't cry.
