Bryan Cranston To Follow 'Breaking Bad' with Still Not Lex Luthor

September 19, 2013

What's Bryan Cranston going to do with himself now that he can have hair again? According to Deadline, he's going to star in the title role for Trumbo, Jay Roach's biopic on Johnny Got His Gun author and Spartacus screenwriter Dalton Trumbo. John McNamara wrote the script, which sees Trumbo go from highest-paid writer in Hollywood to jail then blacklisted due to his refusal to testify to the House Committee on Un-American Activities. Despite the blacklisting, he continued to work under assumed names and even won two Academy Awards--for The Brave One and Roman Holiday--that he only later received recognition for. Though the film will obviously not be anything like Breaking Bad, still hard not to think the "say my name" scene might play even better when the answer is a nervous "Trumbo."
