Remember back when Star Wars felt real? Like when it felt like Jar Jar could just walk out of the screen and be your best friend? Or maybe some other definition of Star Wars feeling real? Well, according to director J.J. Abrams, he's going to bring the series back to that authenticity, so you can stop worrying about everything.
Though he cautioned the tone is still "an evolving thing," Abrams told EW he's "working really hard to make a movie that feels as emotional and authentic and exciting as possible."
"I remember reading a thing somewhere, someone wrote about just wanting [the new film] to feel real; to feel authentic. I remember I felt that way when I was 11 years old when I saw the first one. As much of a fairy tale as it was, it felt real. And to me, that is exactly right."
Well, so long as they bring back the harsh realities of light incest, I'll be happy.
