Marvel Making a Peggy Carter TV Series Too

September 19, 2013

Though Marvel is already this month premiering Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Marvel's Q.U.E.E.N. Latifah Show, the studio is looking to the future of what other shows they could spin-off of a superhero movie. Their answer: how about Captain America's Peggy Carter? Marvel is reportedly now in development on a series going by the title Agent Carter, to be based on Hayley Atwell's British agent seen in The First Avenger. No deals are yet in place, but it's assumed the show would head to Marvel's fellow Disney sibling ABC, though it's not yet certain if Atwell is willing to commit to a full series. Notably, just as Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was first demoed as the Item 47 short included on the Avengers disc, Carter's solo turn likewise spawned from a home video bonus feature, to debut next week when Iron Man 3 hits shelves. Thor 2 Gag Reel: The Series can't be far behind.
