'Ant-Man' Shrinking Sooner Than Planned

When Warner Bros. still had their big Man of Steel follow-up dated for July 17th of next year, no one dared schedule up against the combined might of Superman and the male lead from the 2000 Gwyneth Paltrow romance Bounce. But now that the studio pushed that back to May 2016 and moved their Peter Pan prequel into that slot, it's not seeming quite so threatening. As such, Marvel's going to make sure we still get some superhero action on the 17th: they've moved Edgar Wright's Ant-Man up a couple weeks to that weekend. And that's how Michael Douglas and Paul Rudd became the most unlikely yet welcome replacements for Superman and Batman.
