Scorsese Also Really into 'Girls' Star Adam Driver

January 14, 2014

You'd better start getting used to seeing Adam Driver's face. At least as much as that's possible. After a string of small parts with hugely in-demand directors, the Girls star is continuing on his hot streak with a role for Martin Scorsese, the rabid Girls fan who really feels the show speaks to his generation (probably). According to Showbiz411, Driver has been offered a part alongside Andrew Garfield and Ken Watanabe in Scorsese's Silence, a Japanese thriller about an undercover priest in the 17th century.

Since 2011, Driver has already managed to work with such in-demand directors as Clint Eastwood, Steven Spielberg, Noah Baumbach, and most recently the Coens with Inside Llewyn Davis, where he stole scenes with his doofus backup vocals. He's also been rumored for parts in such high-profile films as the Man of Steel sequel and Star Wars: Episode VII. In other words: sorry, Sam Worthington, but your time is over. Indistinct, utterly unmemorable mugs have officially fallen out of fashion. Welcome to the new vogue:
