'Lego Movie' Still Just Killing It Out There

February 24, 2014

Your weekend box office:

1. The Lego Movie - $31.5 million, and now up to over $275 million grossed worldwide. That is probably the most money a Lego movie has ever made.

2. 3 Days To Kill - $12.3 million. Could this mean an end to the indomitable heyday of Kevin Costner films?

3. Pompeii - $10 million. Just too soon.

4. RoboCop - $9.4 million. The film is now on pace to make only $60-some million domestic, falling far short of the original Inspector Gadget.

5. The Monuments Men - $8.1 million. Notably, this has easily become Clooney's highest-grossing film as a director. Not at all notably, Clooney also directed the 1920s football comedy Leatherheads.
