Sadly, Paul Walker is dead, but lucky for the Fast and Furious franchise, that's nothing computers and a collection of white body parts can't replace.
Shooting has restarted in the series' seventh installment, following a hiatus after Walker's untimely death. At the time of that break, it was said that the studio was considering various plans to keep the film going, from writing out Walker's character, to re-casting him, to "using special effects to put Paul Walker's face on someone else's body." Now, it seems, they've decided to go with the last of those options, with NY Daily News reporting that we'll be seeing a mix of some dudes and CGI for certain scenes of the film.
"They have hired four actors with bodies very similar to Paul's physique and they will be used for movement and as a base," a source apparently told the paper. "Paul's face and voice will be used on top using CGI."
For those wondering why it will take four body doubles...
