'Incredibles' Still Isn't Getting a Sequel, But Is Coming Back in 3D

March 17, 2014

The Incredibles is headed back to theaters, but still not as the sequel you wish would have happened instead of Cars 2. According to Screen Daily, Disney•Pixar will continue their trend of padding their schedule with re-hashes by re-releasing the 2004 superhero classic as well as Brad Bird's follow-up, Ratatouille, in 3D. The studio's 3D production president, Josh Hollander, says the company is working on the conversions but thus far do not have a "release strategy" for them. We can only guess that--as with the 3D re-releases of Toy Story, Toy Story 2, Finding Nemo, and Monsters, Inc.--the strategy will probably involve a nostalgic ad campaign followed by $$$ (in 3D).
