Final 'Hobbit' Film Has New, More Exciting Title

April 24, 2014

Because having a massive battle sounds way cooler than going somewhere nonspecific then going back home, Peter Jackson and New Line have decided to change the name of the final Hobbit film. Previously subtitled There and Back Again, the film will now be called The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. As Jackson notes in the Facebook announcement, Bilbo kind of already went "there" in The Desolation of Smaug, so now it's likely that Tolkien's original "There and Back Again" title will be more aptly used for the trilogy box set. And probably also for at least one autobiography of a Backstreet Boy.
