Disney and Lucasfilm have at long last revealed the cast for Star Wars: Episode VII, JJ Abrams' follow-up to the one with the Ewoks. As has been rumored for months/hours, the cast of new faces and returning stars now officially includes Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker, John Boyega, Adam Driver, and Oscar Isaac. But there are also some surprises in the cast list. Turns out, unknown Daisy Ridley, About Time's Domhnall Gleeson, Andy Serkis, and Max von Sydow are also among the film's new stars. Above is the first photo of them all reading their Star Wars hardcover novelizations together.
Parts for the cast haven't yet been revealed. But come on: Von Sydow has to be the new Sith Master to Driver's rumored Sith Lord, Andy Serkis will assumedly be the new CGI sidekick we're already afraid we'll hate, and Kenny Baker will be the 79-year-old I'm really not sure we should be stuffing back into a metal trashcan.
