After considering so many other options, Steven Spielberg (Twilight Zone: The Movie, segment "2") has finally settled on his next directing project. THR reports that Spielberg is "officially committing himself to BFG," a live-action adaptation of the Roald Dahl children's book about a little girl who befriends the world's only big, friendly giant. Spielberg's E.T. writer Melissa Mathison has already written the script--does she know how to make children befriend fantastical, wrinkled freaks or what?--and production is expected to begin next year for a 2016 release. Can this be your long-awaited reunion with Jeff Goldblum, Stevesy?
