New 'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes' Trailer: Continue the Andy Serkis Simian Xperience

May 8, 2014

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes takes place years after the events of the first film, and it's clear that, in the interim, Caesar has been sticking with the ESL and horseback riding classes Franco bought him for his birthday. He and his ape friends have a whole little society set up, complete with family units, crudely-written laws, and an admirable equestrian team. It's not even as feces-smeared as you'd expect. But, of course, with mankind mounting a comeback, that's all about to change. Gary Oldman is leading a revolt against the apes, and though Zero Dark Thirty's Jason Clarke is brokering for peace between the species, it seems that war is inevitable. Similarly inevitable: Caesar and Clarke are totally going to kiss, right? I wish they'd just get it over with. The tension is killing me.
