Timely! 'Taken' Spoof To Imagine Hilarity of Human Trafficking, Sexual Slavery

May 15, 2014

Woefully prolific spoof-makers Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer have plans to use their very particular, extremely predictable set of skills on a parody of 2008's Taken. Between the ongoing Taken sequels and Nicolas Cage, Hollywood has already supplied us with ample dumb pastiches of the Taken formula, but according to Deadline, Friedberg and Seltzer will provide yet another with Who The F#@k Took My Daughter?. In line with the duo's oeuvre (The Starving Games, Date Movie, Meet The Spartans, etc.), the film will follow the essential plot and characters of Taken, while, naturally, taking frequent incongruous detours to references to other "recent" films and pop culture occurrences. And such will the relationship between sex trafficking and a Duck Dynasty cameo be found.
