Adam McKay has joined Edgar Wright in deciding against making that Ant-Man movie. As was reportedly late last week, the Anchorman and Step Brothers director was on Marvel's shortlist for the job, and THR claims that on Friday negotiations began in earnest with him. But apparently that's already done now, as McKay is said to have, of entirely his own decision, walked away from the superhero film. "And yes, met w/Marvel," McKay has since confirmed via Twitter. "Kirby & Lee r my Lennon Mccartney so it was awesome. But have other projects I'm committed to. Not sure it can work." Who would've figured it would be harder to get McKay to direct a Paul Rudd movie than to get Kenneth Branagh to make Thor?
