Paramount is looking to get Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell back together, as if they can just buy the same ingredients Adam McKay used and throw together a restaurant-quality meal like The Other Guys. Deadline reports that the studio is in talks to bring Wahlberg in on Daddy's Home, a comedy Ferrell has long been connected to. Vince Vaughn was once attached to the Wahlberg role, and Etan Cohen was last year going to direct; now Horrible Bosses 2's Sean Anders and John Morris are said to be in talks to fill in. Ferrell will play "a mild-mannered radio executive who strives to become the best stepdad ever to his wife's two children." Wahlberg is the freeloading, absentee dad who suddenly shows up to complicate things--quickly winning the kids back over, no doubt. He did, after all, buy a Transformer.
