I'm not 100% sure why, but The Simpsons creator Matt Groening interacted with a holographic Homer during a portion of The Simpsons panel at Comic-Con. It's actually a pretty neat idea to employ the holographic technology for animated characters, but the execution of this particular segment just felt so awkward. Matt looks like he can't wait for the whole thing to end, Homer's lines feel forced, and the overall vibe is that nobody really wanted to do it in the first place. Other than that, though, holograms! Neat!
