With Marvel still trying to hit a release date they set before they abruptly lost their director, the studio today announced that we needn't worry about them, because they finally started shooting Ant-Man. According to the release, production started today in San Francisco, home of the tech industry that could hypothetically spawn a shrinking suit, we'll say for the sake of suspending our disbelief. With the news also comes new casting announcements, with Boardwalk Empire's Bobby Cannavale, Arrested Development's Judy Greer, Mad Men's John Slattery, and rapper-turned-actor T.I. joining the superhero film in unspecified roles (Slattery has already played Howard Stark, though). San Francisco residents: keep an eye out for comically large props. Paul Rudd is probably next to those looking comparatively small.
