Charlie Day, Thor Join 'Vacation' Remake-Cum-Sequel

August 26, 2014

Chris Hemsworth, the beautiful, golden-haired Christie Brinkley of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is in talks to join New Line's reboot/sequel to Vacation. Over a year since the comedy was postponed indefinitely, it's apparently back in development again, the studio restarting casting in preparation for a September shoot date. Hemsworth is reportedly signing on to play Stone Crandall, the handsome anchorman brother-in-law to our new, elder Rusty, Ed Helms. It's Always Sunny's Charlie Day is also said to be up for a part, that of a presumably-manic river rafting guide. And such shall Helms inherit Chevy Chase's slapstick crown, by getting smacked in the head with an oar and falling into a raging river.
