Lionsgate has given themselves a deadline on recruiting a team of teenagers with attitude. The studio has officially set a July 22, 2016 wide release for their reboot of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, giving them just over two years to escalate a conflict from spandex suits to prehistoric animal vehicles to a large robot man with a sword. Thor, X-Men: First Class, and Agent Cody Banks writers Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz are already at work on the screenplay, though no director is yet attached. Likewise, no cast has been set, but assumedly Curb's Susie Essman will be Rita or we can just forget about this right now.
