'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Made a Bunch of Money, So Now You're Getting Another One of Those

This weekend, Michael Bay's toy recycling factory churned out another grotesquely-malformed yet, as usual, extremely lucrative product. His movie about CGI turtles overtook the movie about a CGI raccoon, over-performing to rule the box office and make this first half of August the most money-making in history. Consequently, Paramount is already asking us to gaze into the deep nostrils of a sequel, setting a June 3, 2016 release for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: Not the Secret of the Ooze, Though.

1. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - $65 million

2. Guardians of the Galaxy - $41.5 million

3. Into the Storm - $18 million

4. The Hundred-Food Journey - $11.1 million

5. Lucy - $9.3 million
