Amy Adams, Christoph Waltz Fight Over Deformed Kid Paintings in 'Big Eyes' Trailer

The trailer for Tim Burton's Big Eyes is here--even if, true to the film's themes of confused authorship and inoffensively mass-marketed art, it looks like Burton's least recognizably Burton-y production since Big Fish. The film stars Amy Adams and Christoph Waltz as Margaret and Walter Keane, the duo behind the doe-eyed painting phenomenon that filled homes in the '60s, when the nation was infatuated with Graves Disease. While Walter was the marketing whiz and Margaret the painter of the business, the husband for years also took credit for being the artist. His ego trip only ended in a divorce battle that went to federal court, where the two had to have a paint-off to prove that only she could adequately paint a horrifyingly-adorable giant eyeball.
