No doubt inspired by Guardians of the Galaxy's success with an irreverent, gun-loving, CGI-covered version of People's Sexiest Man Alive, Twentieth Century Fox is finally getting to work on their long-planned Deadpool movie. The studio has reportedly set a February 12, 2016 for the film, with Ryan Reynolds still presumed to star (though no deal is actually in place) and Tim Miller attached to direct. Notably, Miller was the director behind that test footage that leaked earlier this summer and depicted a Deadpool hewing far closer to the comics version than that mouthless sword-arm guy from X-Men Origins: Wolverine. It's not yet clear if vocal internet fans will get the R-rated film they have long insisted upon, but it does at least seem likely that they'll finally get the fourth wall-breaking quips of a Deadpool who is so irreverent.
