See 'Bored to Death' by Way of Woody Allen with the 'Listen Up Philip Trailer

While the Bored to Death movie continues to elude production, strange echoes of Ted Danson's promise of the film continue to materialize themselves in unexpected but familiar ways. The real Jonathan Ames and Jason Schwartzman announced a different movie collaboration, Danson and Zach Galifianakis just turned up together in a Funny or Die sketch together, and now there's perhaps our closest realization yet with Listen Up Phillip. Written and directed by Alex Ross Perry, the film sees a practiced Schwartzman again playing a sports coat-loving writer putting out his sophomore effort and seeking the counsel of his white-haired mentor--this time Jonathan Pryce. In a sort of Woody Allen-ish twist, Schwartzman is also dealing with his dying relationship with Elizabeth Moss by neurotically fooling around on her while old-timey jazz plays. Here's the trailer:
