October 6, 2014

One of the biggest cult series of all time is being revived in this, our golden age of bringing back shows a select group of people really love the shit out of. It was announced today that Twin Peaks will be returning to television on Showtime, premiering in 2016, an apt 25 years after the original series closed. Series co-creators David Lynch and Mark Frost tweeted the news today, saying, "Dear Twitter Friends... it is happening again," alongside a link to the below announcement teaser. An official release adds more information, saying Lynch will direct all nine episodes of the new run, with he and Frost writing them all as well. In the statement, the duo jointly added, "The mysterious and special world of Twin Peaks is pulling us back. We're very excited. May the forest be with you." Wonder if Cooper will be really into pour-over now.
