Though he's through recording the ooky, spooky voice of Vin Diesel for Fast & Furious 7, director James Wan is keeping on with haunting things with a return to The Conjuring franchise. Deadline reports that Wan, now "creatively rejuvenated" from not having to think about anything on the set of the latest Fast sequel, has gotten excited about some new ideas he's come up with for The Conjuring 2: Not Just About a Doll This Time. Thusly, he's now made a deal with New Line to direct the sequel, which Wan says will "tell the story of the next case-file of Ed & Lorraine Warren and expand on this world we've created." Still, though Fast & Furious 7 is reportedly "finished," the Conjuring follow-up's release date has been pushed from October 2015 to sometime in 2016, allowing Wan to first complete his promotional duties appearing beside Diesel and The Rock for perspective.
