Catching on to what seems to be a rising trend this week, Legendary Pictures' television branch has announced that they too will stretch some established property as thin as it will go by making it into a modern series. Deadline reports that the studio is now resurrecting Lost in Space, the late-'60s series last brought back as a woefully forgettable 1998 film. Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless--writers of this weekend's Dracula Untold, which is being received about as well as 1998's Lost in Space--are handling the script for our latest take on The Swiss Family Robinson but with a Robot Also. The new series is format is expected to be similar to the old one, with the exception that, in keeping with advances in modern space travel, now the family will just be the Bransons and Ashton Kutcher.
