'Myst' Game To Become Latest Extremely Timely Series Adaptation

Myst has become the latest thing we left in our bedroom when we moved out that our parents have apparently sold to Hollywood. Variety reports that Legendary Pictures has reached a deal with Myst creators Rand and Robyn Miller to adapt the classic video game into a series about that. The original game got 2x CD-ROMs whirring with a first-person tale of being a "Stranger" solving puzzles around an island. It's not yet clear how that will translate to a series--Lost with satisfying answers?--but what Legendary and the Millers have made clear is that this project will go beyond television to create "a true transmedia franchise that includes a companion video game." And, hey, you know what would make for a good Myst video game? Myst!
