Appearing on Ellen--our premier source for both superhero movie news and mom-pleasing casual dance--Robert Downey Jr. has confirmed that he'll appear in Iron Man 4. Sort of.
"We're in the middle of negotiations," the actor first told Ellen DeGeneres, dodging her question about appearing in a fourth film. But DeGeneres is a hard-hitter who doesn't let guests weasel out of the tough ones that America demands answers to. She continued to press, asking, "So, yes?"
"Okay, yes... yes," Downey relented, confirming his involvement and saving the interview from devolving into the Frost/Nixon of our generation.
Of course, time will tell if anything actually comes of this--but that time is apparently coming up very soon, possibly even this weekend at New York Comic Con. In a reddit AMA today, Downey noted, "sooner than later the Marvel Roster will be made public and all questions will be answered."
