'Rush Hour' Also Will Be a Series

October 8, 2014

Because killing one dated-film-to-series adaptation only makes several more spring up from its nostalgia-ravaged corpse, now CBS is making a Rush Hour show. The network has reportedly given a pilot commitment to develop the 1998 film that already spawned two sequels into an hour-long action-comedy program. The Cougar Town team of Bill Lawrence and Blake McCormick are writing and executive producing, with the latter duty also being handled by Rush Hour series director Brett Ratner. It remains questionable whether a guy doing an impression of Jackie Chan will understand the words coming out of an over-the-top Chris Tucker surrogate's mouth.
