Warner Bros. Announces Flash Casting, Everything Else They're Doing with Superheroes

October 15, 2014

Alright, everyone, Warner Bros. has revealed so many things. Firstly: you know The Flash? Fast guy, wears red, superhero...? That's going to be We Need To Talk About Kevin's Ezra Miller. Also, a bunch of other superhero stuff. Here's their official plan:

  • Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, directed by Zack Snyder (2016)
  • Suicide Squad, directed by David Ayer (2016)
  • Wonder Woman, starring Gal Gadot (2017)
  • Justice League, Part One, directed by Snyder (2017)
  • The Flash, starring Ezra Miller (2018)
  • Aquaman, starring Jason Momoa (2018)
  • Shazam, (2019)
  • Justice League, Part Two, directed by Zack Snyder (2019)
  • Cyborg, starring Ray Fisher (2020)
  • Green Lantern (2020)

Ayer's Suicide Squad, Momoa's Aquaman movie, Shazam with The Rock, and Ray Fisher's turn as Cyborg were all previously rumored, but the news of a solo Wonder Woman film and, particularly, Ezra Miller's casting as Flash comes as a real nerd surprise. But don't worry, because the writers of 2011'a Green Lantern, Species II, and Wrath of the Titans are among the six or so writers currently credited with writing The Flash script, so it's fine. We just have to await 2020's Cyborg, which we're all definitely awaiting.
