Disney Will Give Us Another 'White Fang'

A young Ethan Hawke will soon no longer be the face to imagine when your class is reading White Fang. THR reports that Disney is now developing an updated take on the Jack London novel they first adapted back in 1991--and followed with a 1994 sequel. Oscar-nominated The Motorcycle Diaries screenwriter Jose Rivera--who recently tackled another lit class classic with On the Road--is writing the script, and frequent Spike Jonze and Sofia Coppola cinematographer Lance Acord is set to make his directorial debut on the film. Readers are welcome to continue picturing Ethan Hawke as they work through Great Expectations, but it's not really recommended.
