Farewell to Franklin, Bon Voyage to Bash: 'Franklin & Bash' Has Been Canceled

November 11, 2014

Having now supplied Breckin Meyer and Mark-Paul Gosselaar with enough suits to get them through their impending job interviews, TNT has reportedly canceled Franklin & Bash. The series--referred to with increasing accuracy as "a funny legal procedural," "Ally McBeal with balls," and Zach Morris & Jon Arbuckle: Attorneys at Law--aired for four seasons, but had seen its most recent season premiere open to a 60% drop in audience from the year prior. According to Deadline, the show also faced the issue of not fitting in with TNT's newly-tweaked brand, which Turner Broadcasting president David Levy sees as having "a more edgier type of shows," just as demanded on a teenage boy's comment card.

Sadly, the news comes only after the fourth and now final season has already been shot and aired, forever leaving unresolved the show's long-running mystery of which one was Bash.
