'Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever' Trailer: This Is Indeed a Very Bad Christmas

Since one presumably does not watch a Grumpy Cat movie for the plot, this trailer for Lifetime's Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever does not bother worrying itself too much with story beyond the basics. But here's the gist of it: a girl uses a mall's prop wishing well to wish for a friend, and what she somehow ends up with is the ability to hear the thoughts of a pissy-looking feline. Hers is the God-like omniscience of the reader of a Garfield collection.

Beyond that, the bulk of the movie seems to consist of people holding the cat up to the camera as Aubrey Plaza lazily dubs in Grumpy Cat's oddly meta voiceover. Which is to say, they did they the absolute bare minimum to make this the more entertaining internet cat Christmas video than a looped hour of eight minutes of Lil Bub in front of a yule log.

Lifetime Original Movies: they aren't just sensationalized biopics and tales of murderous husbands anymore! Now they also exploit animals.
